The National Council in Bahrain describes the majority of citizens as "dogs" in a new dangerous and provocative behavior

The National Democratic Opposition Forces rejects the inciting, hateful and insulting speech that dominated the so-called session of the National Assembly. They called describing the majority of citizens as “dogs” an extremely dangerous and dishonorable move, and forms a serious violation of speech by the system.
The exposing of the main component of the country (Shiites) to a clear and programmed attack of contempt is very much a sensitive and serious issue. The National Opposition Forces strongly resents the incitement to murder, torture, arrest people and strip citizenship simply for calling for democracy and human rights or having an opinion contrary to the regime. They see this as an official supplement to the ongoing abuses of human rights and violations of law that are leading the country into a chaotic future.
The National Opposition Forces stress that the absence of reasonable, moderate and balanced language, except by very few, and the incitement to sectarianism through lies and calls to violence is a serious problem for society in Bahrain. This underscores the need to build a real state based on the principles of justice, equality and tolerance. This can only be built in a true democracy where the people are the source of powers with the power of accountability and where the executive and legislative institution is under the control of the community, instead of working against the community.
The national forces pointed out that they will continue their peaceful movement and will not stop until the people’s demands of a democratic state are achieved.
The opposition powers affirmed that the Security solution, that the regime has adopted, has proven its failure for over 30 months. The BICI report was clear about this. Relying on more repressive and violent measures by targeting citizens and inciting sectarianism will have a destructive impact on the homeland.
