Al-Wefaq on Sitra Bomb Blast: Violence and Violent Reactions Are Unacceptable

Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society stressed once again that any act of violence is "completely unacceptable" and denounced "the incident that took place in Sitra on Tuesday (July 28, 2015) as announced by the Ministry of Interior." Al-Wefaq also stressed that "such acts are not in anyway linked to the wide peaceful popular movement demanding a democratic transition in Bahrain."
In its statement, Al-Wefaq called on all factions to stop committing any kind of violence and steer clear from this unacceptable affliction, demanding all those who adopt violence "to adopt the national opposition's approach instead which rejects violence, protests human lives, and respects human rights and dignity."
"Violence and violent reactions are all unacceptable, regardless of who stands behind them," the society highlighted. Al-Wefaq further stated that "the peaceful popular movement will carry on in compliance with the law and citizens will not accept anyone to jeopardize the peacefulness of their movement". Al-Wefaq also called for "adopting a civilized dialogue and serious negotiations to find a solution to all issues and problems in Bahrain.
