Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahraini accounts on social media announced the death of the Bahraini Fawaz Al-Najras, who has close ties with the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front militant group, after sustaining injuries from a rocket attack in Syria's Idlib.
One of the accounts on Instagram called "Youths of Southern Sabi'a", referring to the seventh electoral district in Bahrain's southern governorate said that "the religious studies teacher at Eastern Al-Riffa High School, Fawaz Al-Najras," was killed "while delivering aid on Turkish-Syrian border," announcing that "condolences will be accepted at Wadi Al-Sayl hall."
Also, one of the supporters of Al-Qaeda in Bahrain under the name "Mohammad Al-Rayes" tweeted that Fawaz Al-Najras was killed "after sustaining injuries from shellfire while supervising the distribution of baby milk on the Syrian border."

For his part, the Secretary-General of extremist Al-Adala Movement in Bahrain, Mohiuddin Khan, expressed his frustration by tweeting: "Iran and Hezbollah announce the deaths of their fighters with pride and dignity by staging mass funeral processions yet we announce our martyrs in shy statements, fearing security forces," referring to the death of Fawaz Al-Najras without naming him.

A number of social media accounts in Bahrain revealed in 2014 that Fawaz Al-Najraz was a naturalized Bahraini of Syrian origin who was recruiting Bahrainis to fight in the ranks of Al-Qaeda in Syria, and collected money in Al-Nosf Mosque. His personal account on Twitter shows that he was close to Sheikhs Adel Al-Hamad, Mohiuddin Khan and other Al-Qaeda members like Sheikh Abu Qatada.
