Bahrain Mirror: The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that "Tehran only supports a political solution in Bahrain," dismissing "Manama's accusations that Iran is sending arms and explosives to Bahrain."
Amir-Abdollahian stressed in a statement on Thursday (July 30, 2015) that Iran "strongly condemns a recent terrorist bomb blast in Bahrain," flatly rejecting remarks by Bahrain's Foreign Minister that "the terrorist attack was linked to Iran."
"The accusation was completely deliberate as it was made when Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was starting a positive and constructive diplomatic tour of regional countries," he added.
Addressing the Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Amir-Abdollahian concluded his statement by saying: "We advise the Bahraini foreign minister to think of playing a positive and constructive role regarding the collective security in the region, and [bringing about] national reconciliation between the Bahraini government and its people instead of stoking religious strife in Bahrain and the region."
