Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Thousands of Bahrainis took to the streets on Friday (July 31, 2015) to announce that they will not give up their demands which they called for since the eruption of the February 14 uprising, denouncing "the ongoing violations exercised by the authorities."
The protestors held up photos of opposition leader, Secretary-General of the Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Sheikh Ali Salman, who is serving a 4-year jail term, calling for his immediate release along with all the detained political figures since March 2011.
They also held posters that read slogans that condemned the ongoing discrimination exercised against the Shiite majority. One of the slogans said: "By determination and achievement...we fight starvation and ignorance", referring to the distribution of scholarships that dozens of top-ranking Shiite graduates were deprived of.
