Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Unknown individuals carried out a robbery under threat of force in 24 hour shops in Zayed Town. A video showed a man threatening a worker with a wooden rod forcing him to hand over the money he is in charge of.
The general director of the southern governorate said on Wednesday (August 19, 2015) via the Ministry of Interior's Twitter account that "the police directorate received a notice concerning a shop robbery in Zayed Town and that search operations are underway until the criminal is found and arrested."
The 24 hours shops belong to the Jawad Business Group (owned by a Shiite merchant), whose shops have been attacked by government forces and pro-regime groups since the eruption of the February 14 uprising that took place in 2011.
