Bahrain Mirror: Sister of missing Jaafar Abdullah Habib (26 years) who resides in Jidhafs said that no news were reported about her brother after he decided to travel to Kuwait on August 8, 2015 to buy auto parts, since he works in an automobile repair shop.

She pointed out in a phone call with Al-Wasat newspaper that "her brother travels to Gulf States, especially Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to purchase auto parts. On Sunday night (August 8, 2015), he asked me to lend him my car so he could travel to Kuwait with his friend. I wrote him an authorization letter so he could travel on the vehicle. He told me that he is going to buy auto parts and return in the morning of the following day."

"I called him Monday morning and his phone ring indicated that he is still outside Bahrain. Yet, he did not answer. I called him several times, but in vain. I tried to communicate with him via WhatsApp and I also failed to reach him. We were surprised in the evening of the same day to see our house raided by the police who told us that they have an order from the Public Prosecution to search our house without explaining the reasons behind the search. They searched my brother's room and took his phone's memory card and then left without telling us anything," she added.

"My father went the Al-Khamis police station, which denied having my brother there. My father asked about him again the next day yet they also denied that he was there. The police station told my father to file a missing persons report regarding his son and also the car. He also went to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which also denied that my brother was there," she further stated.

The family said that it contacted the Bahrain Embassy in Riyadh that in turn told them to send information about the missing person and a photo of him, in addition to the car papers. The family sent the required information via fax and the embassy promised to respond to them on Wednesday.

The family called on the competent parties to disclose the whereabouts of their son in case he is detained or help find him by asking the relevant parties about him.
