Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahraini forces blocked the entrances of Bilad Al-Qadeem and deployed more checkpoints after the Ministry of Interior announced that a blast took place targeting the Khamis police station, south of the capital, Manama.

On its twitter account, the Interior Ministry said: "A terrorist blast targeted the Khamis police station and the competent authorities began carrying out its procedures."

The opposition continues to call for the establishment of independent investigation committees to look into these violent incidents, announced by the Ministry of Interior. The authorities; however, refuse to respond to such demands.

Deputy Chief of Public Security Naji Al-Hajil announced that the terrorist blast that took place on Thursday (September 10, 2015) and targeted policemen in the Khamis Police Station in Bilad Al Qadeem caused no injuries.

He further pointed out that the main operations room received a report in this regard and that crime scene and forensic science teams along with all the competent security parties visited the site of the blast, where a number of security measures and legal proceedings were taken.

The Deputy Chief said that an investigation was launched to identify the suspects and bring them to justice. The Public Prosecution was also notified about the incident, he added.
