Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Movement Sayed Hassan Nasrallah stressed on Thursday (October 8, 2015) that some states advised the Bahraini opposition to negotiate with Saudi Arabia directly because the Bahraini rulers are not the ones who take decisions.
In an interview with the Iranian al-Ahwaz TV Channel, Nasrallah said that the Saudi rulers can't tolerate a discussion about authority, even on the cabinet level, especially in states they deem under their control.
He highlighted that some states advised the Bahraini opposition to negotiate with Saudi Arabia because it has the last say, pointing out that Bahrain's rulers are not the decision makers and do not take decisions without referring to the Al Saud family.
"Since the beginning of the popular uprising, some states, that we were in contact with, said that the Saudi rulers do not agree on having a dialogue in Bahrain," Nasrallah further stated.
He reiterated his viewpoint on what is taking place in Bahrain, describing the situation as being similar to the Israeli project, stressing that there are attempts to turn the indigenous Bahrainis into minority through the naturalization process.
Nasrallah stressed that Saudi Arabia does not want the Bahraini people to stay in Bahrain, and rather wants them to turn into an ineffective minority. He also highlighted that the Bahrainis' battle is a historical battle for existence.
