Bahrain's King Appoints Judge Isa Al-Kaabi as Constitutional Court Member

Bahrain Mirror: The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Decree 42/2015 "appointing Judge Isa bin Mubarak Al-Kaabi as a member of the Constitutional Court, for a five-year term effective as of October 15, 2015, replacing former member Salman Isa Siyady."
Judge Isa Al-Kaabi, the president of the First High Civil Appeals Court, had issued sentences acquitting and commuting penalties of convicts involved in killing martyrs Karim Fakhrawi, Zakaria Al-Ashiri and Ali Saqer, who died due to torture, in addition to protestors Fadel Al-Matrouk and Hani Abdul-Aziz.
Lualua TV revealed information stating that Al-Kaabi upheld more than 92% of the sentences issued against suspects over cases having a political background and he is the same judge looking into the appeal of Al-Wefaq Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Salman.
