Bahrain Mirror: Activists on Social Media circulated news about two Ashura obsequies being targeted with gunfire.
The information said that the obsequies of Al-Hamla and Sheikh Hassan Al-Damestani were targeted with gunfire, causing material damage without leaving any injuries.
For its part, the Jaffaria Endowments (Waqf) administration said that it "the gunfire incident in Al-Hamla and Damestan" is being followed up by security bodies.
The Jaffaria Endowments further stated that it contacted the administrations of both obsequies and has sent a team to examine the site and prepare a report to be raised to the competent authorities, and also file a complaint reporting the two attacks so that an investigation would be launched and the suspects would be taken into custody, since there is footage of a surveillance camera installed in a nearby house that recorded the attackers' vehicle.
Recently the Al-Haidariya Hussainia in Saihat area in eastern Saudi Arabia was targeted by a gunman who opened fire at the Shiite gathering leaving 5 people killed and others injured. It was later revealed that an ISIS affiliated group calling itself "Bahrain Province" declared responsibility for the terrorist act.
