Bahrain’s Alba Halts Promotions & Computer Services of 400 Employees to Reduce Expenses

Bahrain Mirror: The media spokesperson of the Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) Union, Abdullah Me'raj, said that Alba's management halted all promotions, specifically eight degree promotions until further notice.
He explained that there employees who earned this promotion yet were placed in their previous degree after the decision to halt promotions, pointing out that the management has also put the computers of over 400 employees out of service to reduce expenses.
Me'raj further stated that these measures caused many problems for employees, especially those whose work requires them to use a computer, adding that the human resources administration stopped all computer and email services of non-supervisory departments.
