Bahrain Mirror: Thousands of Bahraini took to the streets on Friday (November 6, 2015) to denounce the ongoing detention of the Bahraini opposition leader and Secretary-General of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Sheikh Ali Salman, and the arrests of dozens of citizens in a widespread campaign launched by regime forces across the country.
In Diraz, south of the capital Manama, protestors held photos of the opposition leader who has been detained since December 2014 and demanded his release. They also chanted slogans calling for putting an end to the Al Khalifa family's monopoly over power.
Protests were staged in a number of Bahraini villages condemning the widespread campaign of arbitrary arrests launched by the regime forces since Tuesday (November 3, 2015) that led to taking dozens of Bahrainis into custody, before the Ministry of Interior accuses them of joining a terrorist organization, as the ruling family often brings such charges against dissent.
