Bahrain Mirror: Advocate General and Chief of Bahrain's Terror Crime Prosecution Ahmed Al-Hammadi said that the fourth high criminal court issued a verdict against 8 suspects on Tuesday (November 10, 2015).
The authorities accused the eight suspects of setting tires ablaze in the village of Saar, west of the Bahraini capital Manama, planting a hoax bomb in a public place, rioting and possessing Molotov cocktails. The third and fourth defendants were sentenced to three years in prison while the remaining ones received ten years prison terms each. The court also confiscated the seized items.
The Ministry of Interior often brings terrorism charges against protestors who are demanding the establishment of a democratic regime and putting an end to the ruling Al Khalifa family's monopoly over power.
