UK Concerned about Upholding Death Penalties Against Mohammad Ramadan and Hussein Mousa

Bahrain Mirror: The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Tobias Ellwood, said in a statement concerning the death penalties issued in Bahrain on Friday (November 20, 2015) that "The UK is concerned about the death sentences as handed down by the Bahraini courts. We support Bahrain's right to bring to justice those responsible for the death of a police officer. But it is our longstanding policy to oppose the death penalty in all circumstances."
It is noteworthy that Bahrain's Court of Cassation upheld the death penalty against the two detainees, Mohammad Ramadan and Hussein Ali Mousa from the Bahraini village of Al-Dair over a case in which they, along with others, are accused of killing a policeman by detonating a homemade bomb, as the authorities claim.
