Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel Humaidan, expressed his consent to dispense unemployment allowances for the unemployed graduates mentioned in the "1912 List", stressing that any person who meets these conditions will be granted an allowance.
Humaidan said that those who trigger the "1912 List" issue do not consider what he described as the "complete information", indicating that the ministry has successfully employed about 1,350 of those named in the list in the public sector.
"We have a long list of the registered graduates who refused the jobs they were offered and remained home. When they heard that there are new demands, they returned to the ministry. Despite this, we were ready to hire them," Humaidan further stated.
He also stressed that "the people whom the ministries could not embrace were only a few. We don't want anyone to lose his job without being able to offer him alternative jobs in the private sector."
