Bahraini Labour Minister Meets with ILO & Discusses Support Program

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Ministry of Labour stated that Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan met with the International Labour Organization (ILO)'s Regional Deputy Director and Director of Technical Cooperation for Appropriate Work Program, Frank Hagmann, and discussed how Bahrain can benefit from the organization's technical expertise in boosting basic labour rights and the improvement of health conditions and safety of workplaces.
The ministry added that Hagmann reviewed the technical support programs provided by the ILO to the island kingdom, including development of policies, control systems, work inspection, vocational safety and health, in addition to ILO's supporting Bahrain in the area of statistics and labour market indices as well as various other developmental programs in the field of social protection.
