Higher Education Council: Over 4,800 Non-Bahrainis Studying in Bahrain’s Universities

Bahrain Mirror: The figures issued by Bahrain's Higher Education Council for the academic year 2014-2015 revealed that the number of non-Bahraini students studying in different higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain (public, regional and private) has reached 4,862. Most of these students attend public institutions, amounting to 2,117, whereas 1,745 students are study in the private institutions. However, those in the regional institutions are not more than 991 students.
It council also stated that the total number of Bahraini and non-Bahraini students studying in public, regional and private institutions reached 38,260; 22,996 of them are females. Public institutions represent the first attraction for students, as 23,505 of male and female students are registered in full-time and part-time classes in these institutions.
