Bahraini Activist “Perweez” & Kuwaiti MP Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison

Bahrain Mirror: The Secretary-General of the European-Bahraini Organization for Human Rights, Hussein Jawad Perweez, said that a Bahraini court sentenced on Tuesday (December 15, 2015) him and Kuwaiti MP Abdulhameed Dashti to two years in Prison, over charges of fundraising Without license. The court also sentenced activist Abbas Bedah to six months imprisonment over the same case.
Activists stated that the court set Perweez's bail amount at 500 Bahraini dinars and Bedah's at 100 dinars.
The Bahraini Public Prosecution had accused Perweez, alongside the Kuwaiti MP and Bedah, of fundraising and collecting money from inside and outside Bahrain and using it to support and fund riot groups.
