Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's First High Criminal Court, presided over by judge Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa with the membership of judges Dia' Huraidi and Haitham Abdulhay and Naji Abdullah as secretariat, sentenced 2 suspects to 5 years in prison over setting fire to a parliamentary candidate tent.

The court claimed that the suspects, on October 26, 2014 set a fire that would have put people's lives and properties at risk, destroyed property owned by the victim, and manufactured and possessed flammable "Molotov" cocktails.

The authorities also alleged that the defendants agreed to set a tent on fire, prepared "Molotov" cocktails and headed to the site of the incident to implement their plan.

The parliamentary candidate had announced at that time his intention to continue the race, reporting that the security forces had rushed to the place of the fire and examined the site. He added that the damages caused by the fire reached 4500 BD, as the fire extended to two tents.
