Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Mustafa International University announced that a conference honoring Sheikh Issa Ahmad Qassem convened in the Iranian capital Tehran. It was a one-day conference held on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at the Radio and Television International Conference Hall.

The conference entitled the "Model of Jurisprudence and Resistance" was attended by about 700 guests from 60 countries around the world including both Sunni and Shiite scholars, according to the Head of the Scientific Committee of the Conference Sheikh Abdullah Al-Dakkak.

The university said that speeches were delivered by leading figures in the conference, mainly speech of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayed Hassan Nasrollah delivered by his deputy Sheikh Naim Qassem. Also, Sayed Hosseini Boushahry, the Chairman of Qom Religious School, Sheikh Ahmad Badreddine Hassoun the Grand Mufti of Syria, Ayatollah Al A'arafy the Head of Al-Mustafa University, Ayatollah Al Araki the Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, and Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati the advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran gave addresses during the conference.
