Bahrain Mirror: The Government of Bahrain approved on Monday (January 11, 2016) a draft resolution obliging the owners of constructions and institutions to install surveillance cameras and security surveillance services, and to operate them round the clock. The establishments should also have a control room for their cameras linking them to the Ministry of Interior whenever necessary.
Bahrain's Ministry of Interior is installing an entire control system along the streets of Bahrain to facilitate the process of monitoring the ongoing pro-democracy demonstrations held since February 201, to demand putting an end to the ruling Al Khalifa family's monopoly over power.
