Bahrain's MoI Says Gunfire Targeting Al-Marzouq Hussainia Took Place by Mistake & Vows to Repair Damage

Bahrain Mirror: Commenting on the incident when Al-Marzouq Hussainia in Bahrain's Sitra was targeted with gunfire, the Jaffaria Endowments (Waqf) said that after contacting the security authorities in the Ministry of Interior it was revealed that skirmishes took place in the area on Monday (January 11, 2015) and some facilities of the hussainia were damaged by mistake. The ministry declared that it will bear the cost of maintenance and repair the damages caused by the gunshots.
Eyewitnesses said that a black 4×4 vehicle opened fire at Al-Marzouq Hussainia hall in the island of Sitra on early Monday (January 11, 2016) at around 3 a.m.
Ali al-Rida, one of the administrators of the Hussainia, said: We were surprised at 3 a.m. by the sound of repeated gunshots."
For his part, another administrator named Jaafar Al-Marzooq said: "The windows and ceiling of the Hussainia were damaged due to the bullets. Thank God no injuries were reported."
