Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Second High Criminal Appeals Court, presided over by judge Ibrahim Al-Zayed with the membership of judges Wajih Al-Shaer and Ayman Mohammad Mahran and Yousef Bouhardan as secretariat, decided to adjourn the case of the Capital Municipality former president, member of opposition's negotiation team with the government and member of Al-Wefaq secretariat Majeed Milad until February 16, 2016.

The first degree court had convicted Milad and sentenced him to two years in prison over charges of inciting disobedience of the law.

After the court's approval, Milad gave his statement stressing that he didn't commit any illegal act and what he called for doesn't violate the law. He further stated that he didn't call for protests, especially that he is a member of Al-Wefaq society that only organizes licensed demonstrations.

He confirmed that his statements goes under freedom of expression.

It is noteworthy that Majeed Milad held the office of capital municipality president for eight years and was one of the members of the delegation representing national opposition societies taking part in the national reconciliation dialogue.
