Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) confirmed that the Dry Dock Prison authorities responded to the demands raised by the prisoners on hunger strike by imposing further arbitrary measures, such as depriving them of water, holding them in solitary confinement and assaulting them.

In a statement delivered by Ilnas Aon during a sit-in voicing solidarity with the detainees outside the Bahrain Institute for Human Rights on Sunday (March 6, 2016), BCHR called on the families of prisoners to file complaints on the abuses to government institutions, like the Ombudsman office, the BIHR, or the International Red Cross concerned with the conditions of prisoners inside the prison.

The center further stressed that the abuses vary between degrading treatment and search methods, the glass barrier which prevents the prisoner from physically contacting with his family members during visits, and deprivation of resting hours and required medical care and treatment.
