Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Attorney-General and president of the Terrorist Crimes Prosecution, Ahmad Al-Hammadi, stated that the Fifth High Criminal Court issued a verdict on Thursday (March 10, 2016), sentencing three suspects to life in prison over charges of causing an explosion at a gas station restroom in the island of Sitra, in addition to having possession of arms and ammunition.
The Bahraini authorities claimed that on December 8, 2014, the defendants made a homemade bomb and planned to place it inside a restroom at a gas station located in Sitra, and after one of the workers of the station went to use the restroom, he was shocked to find the bomb and reported it to the police. Thus, the competent authorities headed to the scene and during that time the bomb exploded.
The authorities allege that it was able to identify the suspects by "the attesting witnesses and evidence."
