Bahrain Appeals Court to Issue Verdict on April 4 in Adel Flaifel Embezzlement Case

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Second High Criminal Court, presided over by judge Ibrahim Al-Zayed and membership of judges, Wajih Al-Shaer and Ayman Mohamed Mahran, and Youssef Bou Hardan as secretariat, set April 4, 2016 as a date for issuing the verdict against the former Interior Ministry colonel Adel Flaifel and his son over fraud and embezzlement of over 2 million BD.
The court decided to release the second defendant on bail for 500 BD.
A minor court had sentenced Flaifel to 3 years in prison after convicting him of embezzling over 2 million BD from two investors.
It is noteworthy that Flaifel, including the verdict issued against him in this case, is sentenced to a total of 16 years; arms possession case (10-year term), fraud case (3-year term) and the verdict looked into by the appeals court.
