Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahraini youth Ali Abdulghani (18 years old) was martyred on Monday (April 4, 2016), after sustaining severe injuries during his arrest. Bahrain's main opposition party, Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, said that the incident raises doubts, and called for an independent investigation.
The Bahraini Interior Ministry claimed on Thursday (March 31, 2016) that Abdulghani fell off the rooftop of a building during his attempt to flee arrest, while other information stated that one of the vehicles involved in the arrest ran him over.
Abdulghani was admitted to the military hospital after his arrest and his death wasn't announced until Monday.
His family said that they will not hold his funeral ceremonies until the release of his detained brother Jamil is guaranteed.
