Bahraini Blogger Ali Me'raj Released after over 2 Years of Imprisonment over Charges of Insulting Bahraini King

Bahrain Mirror: Activists on social media said that a Bahraini appeals court commuted on Tuesday (April 5, 2016) the prison sentence issued against on blogger and activist Ali Me'raj to a year and 6 months. Consequently, he was released after spending more than two years behind bars.
A court of first instance had sentenced Al-Me'raj to two years in prison over charges of insulting the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa online.
