Security Authorities Refuse to Grant Permit for Labor Day Rally

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities refused for the second consecutive year to grant a permit for staging a Labor Day demonstration, organized by the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions (GFBTU).
The GFBTU requested a permit to organize a demonstration that marches towards the Ministry of Labour in Isa Town. The authorities; however, in the Southern Governorate refused to grant them a permit.
The opposition parties said that the Ministry of Interior refused to issue 140 permits for staging protests last year, noting that those who apply for the permits are subjected to harassment.
