Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Supreme Court of Appeals upheld a 5-year prison term issued in absentia against 3 appellants over charges of setting a scrap vehicle ablaze in Diraz.
The authorities claim that the defendants planned to burn a car in Al-Budai Street near the entrance of Diraz to hinder traffic and intimidate citizens. The first suspect brought a scrap car and parked it near the park in the middle of the street and the other poured petrol on it and set it on fire. The authorities claim that they reached the suspects through investigations.
