Detainees at Dry Dock Prison Subject to Abuse

Bahrain Mirror: Member of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), Hussain Radhi, said that the families of Dry Dock Prison detainees confirmed that the detainees in cell blocks 16 and 17 have been exposed to abuse, since the escape of a number of inmates from the prison.
He tweeted saying that he learned from the families of detainees held in cell blocks 16 and 17 that they have been beaten and subjected to maltreatment, as the detainees expressed during family visits.
The families of detainees further voiced their deep concern over the detainees' safety, after losing contact with the inmates.
17 political detainees had managed to escape from the pre-trial detention facility at Dry Dock Prison, on Friday (June 3, 2016). The Bahraini Interior Ministry later announced that 11 out of the 17 were taken into custody.
