Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): The Bahraini authorities banned on Friday (June 10, 2016) doctor Taha Al-Dirazi from leaving the country without revealing the reasons for his departure.
"I was supposed to travel today to the UK to visit my son Dr. Sayed Ali, whose wife gave birth to a baby girl today. However, I was surprised that both, my wife and I are prevented from traveling," Al-Dirazi said on his personal Twitter account.
Al-Dirazi was among a large number of medics who were arrested at the hands of the authorities as part of a "security" campaign launched in March 2011 against democracy seekers. The authorities punished all the medics for treating injured protestors at that time.
