Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini Court of Appeals upheld a 15-year jail term against 3 defendants and 10-year jail term against 10 others, while acquitting 3 others, who were convicted by a court on November 23, 2015 over charges of forming a terrorist group.
The Public Prosecution accused the defendants of establishing and joining a terrorist group in 2013 and 2014 and detonating bombs in the country's Southern Province. The prosecution also accused them of buying SIM cards using IDs of Asian nationals without their knowledge and using them to manufacture explosives used in terrorist operations.
The Bahraini authorities often raise against opposition protestors charges of establishing terrorist groups or attacking policemen.
