Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court adjourned the appeal against the decision to dissolve the Tawiya Society until October 18, waiting for the replies of the Ministry of Works and Municipal Affairs.
The court held on Wednesday (September 7, 2016) the first session for deliberation and pleading after giving the lawyer copy of the case and pleading documents.
Eyewitnesses said the security forces raided the society's building in Diraz on June 14, simultaneously when a Bahraini court dissolved Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, the largest opposing political society.
After raiding the building of Al-Tawiyah Society, the Minister of Works and Municipal Affairs Jameel Hmaidan issued a decree dissolving the two Shiite societies; the Tawiyah and Risala.
The authorities accuse Sheikh Baqir Al-Hawaj, the vice president of the group, of fundraising without a permit.
