Bahrain Mirror: The third minor criminal court presided over by judge Jaber Al-Jazzar acquitted on Thursday (September 22, 2016) a teacher of assembly charge in Diraz.
According to the case's details, the teacher tried to sneak to Diraz. When the policeman saw the teacher, the latter fled away, however, the policeman could arrest him. The teacher told the police that he did not take part in any protest that day and that he ran away because he was afraid. The defendant stated that he took part in an assembly previously and he was referred to the public prosecution, which in its turn referred him to the court after it accused him of participating, along with other unknowns, in an assembly of more than 5 persons aiming at disrupting peace.
Diraz village has been witnessing a security besiege since over 3 months, where citizens are holding an ongoing sit-in outside Sheikh Isa Qassim's house against the decision that revoked his citizenship.
