Al-Azhar Sheikh Arrives to Bahrain to Meet King and Chair Muslim Council of Elders

Bahrain Mirror: Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa received on Tuesday (September 27, 2016) Al-Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, who is currently visiting Bahrain to chair the meeting of the Muslim Council of Elders to be held in Bahrain.
The minister welcomed the Grand Imam's visit, hailing "the dedicated efforts of Muslim Council of Elders to disseminate moderate Islamic thought and build constructive dialogue stemming from the values of Islam with other civilizations."
According to Sky News Arabia, the Al-Azhar Sheikh will meet Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa before he heads to Geneva to chair the third round of the East-West dialogue held in cooperation with the World Council of Churches.
