Bahrain Mirror: Hundreds of citizens took part in a mass protest, after the Friday prayers in Diraz, in which they held anti-regime slogans, demanding to put an end to the sectarian persecution against the Shiite sect.
The protest marched the village's streets. Protestors condemned the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statements in which he expressed condolence to Shimon Peres, expressing their solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejecting normalization with Israel.
Protestors chanted slogans in support of the spiritual leader Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and demanded the release of detainees, on top figures and clerics.
It is to mention that the authorities have prevented the Shia majority from performing the largest Friday prayer in Diraz since over 2 and a half month, through preventing the Imam of mosque and prayers from reaching the village.
