Bahrain Mirror: Lawyer Mohammad al-Jeshi said that the Supreme Administrative Court ruled the cancellation of the negative decision by the defendant (Interior Ministry), stating that it would not hand over the criminal record of the plaintiff to the Justice Ministry, despite the repercussions. The court imposed on the defendant to pay for the costs of the case filed by Law School graduate, against the first defendant, the Interior Minister, and the second defendant, the Interior Ministry.

According to the case documents, the lawyer asked "urgently" for the cancellation of a decision by the Interior Ministry, that it would not give the Justice Ministry a copy of the plaintiff's criminal records. The new ruling decided that the defendant ought to present a copy of the plaintiff's criminal record to the Justice Ministry, and take upon itself the legal costs of the lawsuit and lawyer fees.

Elaborating on the case, according to lawyer al-Jeshi, his client has a Bachelor's degree in law from the Yarmouk University in Bahrain, class of 2013. He applied to the registration office at the Justice Minister, to attain a license for the practice of law. Among the measures required is attaining a criminal record for the applicant, he therefore asked for a copy of his criminal record from the Criminal Investigations Unit at the Interior Minister on May 4, 2014, yet they were not cooperative. This led him to filing the lawsuit in order to obtain the documents needed.
