2 and 5-Year Jail Term handed down to 13 Defendants over Assembly in Buri

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Fourth High Criminal Court, presided over by judge Ali Al-Dhahrani with the memberships of judges Osama Al-Shadhili and Wael Ibrahim, and Ahmad Al-Sulaiman as secretariat, handed down 5-year jail term to 8 suspects and 2-year jail term to 5 others over arson and assembly in Buri.
The Public Prosecution accused the defendants of setting fire, along with other unknowns, endangering people's lives and money, taking part along with other unknowns, in an assembly and acquiring Molotov aiming at endangering people's lives and money.
Since 2012, riot cases that go under the demonstrations and riot section of the penal code were adapted to apply to the terrorism law, if there were "terrorist" purposes behind them, such as attempted murder of a police officer, violating the provisions of law and endangering the lives of people and their properties, within the regime's framework of harshening penalties against protestors and activists.
