Bahrain Mirror: The second high appeals court presided over by judge Bader Al-Abdalla and membership of judges Wajih Al-Shaer and Omar Al-Saidi and Iman Dismal as a secretariat commuted the sentence of the e-activist Hamid Al-Khatem, who is accused of inciting hatred against the regime and insulting the king, reducing his 2-year jail term to one year only.

The authorities claim that Al-Khatem "confessed that he owns the account and that he created it in 2011, adding that he uses it for political issues and to call for marches and demonstrations. However, he denied that he had insulted the king, indicating that an unknown person hacked his account."
