PHOTOS: Mass Protest in Diraz Demands Putting End to Sectarian Persecution of Shiites

Bahrain Mirror: Hundreds of Bahrainis took to the streets in a mass protest that was launched from the Imam Sadiq Mosque in Diraz on Friday (November 18, 2016). Protesters chanted anti-government slogans and called for putting an end to the ruling Al Khalifa family's monopoly over power.
Demonstrators denounced the Bahraini authorities crackdown preventing Shia worshipers from holding the largest Friday congregational prayers, demanding that the government stops targeting the Shia spiritual leader Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, reinstate his nationality and release all prisoners of conscience, particularly opposition leaders.
