Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court presided over by Judge Ali al-Zahrani, with the membership of Judges Osama al-Shazly and Wael Ibrahim, and with the secretariat of Ahmad Suleiman, ruled a 3-year imprisonment verdict against a defendant, charging him with "illegal assembly" and burning tires in the town of Sitra.
The Public Prosecution claimed that the defendant, on December 17, 2015, along with other unknown individuals, deliberately set fire to tires on the main road, causing danger to people's lives and properties. The prosecution further added that he, with others, took part in an "assembly" for terror purposes, indicating that they possessed Molotov bombs.
The authorities claim that 10 "demonstrators" in Sitra placed a number of tires on the main road in order to disrupt traffic, and set fire to the tires by throwing Molotov bombs before running away. The police was able to identify the defendant and arrest him based on investigations.
