Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Fourth High Criminal Court, presided over by judge Ali bin Khalifa Al-Dhahrani with the memberships of judges Osama Al-Shadhili and Wael Ibrahim, and Ahmad Al-Sulaiman as secretariat, sentenced a defendant (24 years) to 3 years in prison and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
The court convicted the suspect because in December 2015, he, along with other unknowns, planted hoax bomb for a terrorist aim.
The authorities claim that an officer said he carried out his investigations and concluded that the suspect took part, along with others, in planting hoax bomb in a boat in Al-Daih, aiming at intimidating policemen and people.
It is also noteworthy that the fourth criminal court was established in July 2013 to cover the enormous number of cases brought against protestors and activists and to expedite issuing harsh sentences against them under the Terrorism Act.
