Al-Wefaq Cables Condolences to Iran’s Leadership, People over Rafsanjani Demise

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's National Islamic Society, al-Wefaq, sent a cable of condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, and the Iranian President Sheikh Hassan Rouhani, over the demise of Chairman of the Expediency Council, Ayatollah Sheikh Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
Al-Wefaq Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Hussein al-Daihi, said in his cable, "We received with great sorrow the news of demise of Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Sheikh Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Sunday, after a lifetime of giving, achievements, and national struggle under the blessed Islamic Revolution in Iran. The deceased was one of the most prominent leaders of the revolution, and a prominent face in the civilizational, political, and cultural renaissance."
On behalf of the Bahraini people, the cable addressed the political leadership and the Iranian people, expressing sincere condolences over the great loss.
