Bahrain Mirror: Demonstrations condemning the execution of Sami Mushaima, Abbass Al-Samei, and Ali al-Singace continued for the second day (Monday January 16, 2017) in various Bahraini areas. Protesters held banners and raised slogans against King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose approval was given for the death row execution.
Thousands of Bahraini men and women took to the streets in the various rallies expressing rage from the first procedure of its kind since the outbreak of the February 14, 2011 uprising. Protesters shouted slogans as "No to Execution", and "Down with Hamad", in reference to their king.
The angry crowds cut roads with burning tires, while regime forces fired scatter bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse the crowds.
Shops closed in many areas, in protest of the execution, which pushed the country into a new way of unrest.
