Bahrain Mirror: Social media activists said that the Bahraini authorities summoned activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh for interrogation tomorrow (Sunday, January 22, 2017) at Muharraq police station.
Since 2011, the Bahraini authorities have been tightening the grip on activism of human rights activists and judicially chasing them over malicious charges. The most prominent human rights defenders are in prison; Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja, who is serving life imprisonment sentence, and Nabeel Rajab, who has been on trial since months.
Many activists had to leave Bahrain and ask for political asylum in European countries.
