Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Fourth High Criminal Court presided by Judge Osama Al-Shathili and memberships of judges Wael Ibrahim and Saber Joumaa with Ahmad Al-Suleiman as secretariat renewed the detention of a Bahraini citizen accused of insulting the king, Prime Minister and Shiite sect for 15 days pending investigations.

The police station had received a notice on November 6, 2016 stating that a person in an abnormal condition was driving his car on Sheikh Salman street until he reached a cafeteria in Muharraq. He got down from his car while shouting and insulting King Hamad, the PM and Shiite sect.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspect was screaming "I am Imam Mahdi. Imam Mahdi died and I am one of Allah's angels". Thus, he was beaten. The police arrived to the scene and arrested the suspect.

The prosecution confronted the suspect with the video that shows him insulting and screaming saying he is Imam Mahdi. He confessed that it is him in the video but said that he remembers nothing for he had drunk alcoholic drinks while he was with his friends in Manama.

He added that he is sick and suffers from bipolar disorder and presented a medical report about his case.
