Bahrain Mirror: Civilian forces attacked on Thursday (January 26, 2017) protestors outside the house of the highest religious authority in Bahrain, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim. It is to mention that this is the second attack carried out against Diraz protest.
Dozens of protestors were injured by the bullets of the forces, believed to be affiliates of the National Security Agency. Mostafa Hamdan (18 years old) sustained a fatal injury in his head and was admitted to the intensive care unit in Al-Salmaniya medical complex as a result.
Eyewitnesses said that private cars started to arrive at the dawn before masked members fired live shots and shotguns against the protestors who responded by hurling stones against the forces.
The forces raided a number of houses, broke their doors and arrested 6 citizens. None of the official parties has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Forces affiliated to the ministry of interior had attacked the protestors on December 21, 2016 for the first time since the beginning of the Diraz protest that started in June 2016, immediately after the citizenship of Sheikh Isa Qassim was revoked.
