Bahrain Mirror: Thousands of Bahrainis went to the streets tonight Sunday (February 12, 2017), in symbolic funeral processions for martyrs Rida Al-Ghisra, Mahmoud Yahya, and Mostafa Yousef, whom authorities killed after they attempted to flee Bahrain last Thursday February 9, 2017. Authorities today buried the martyrs without allowed their families to be present, except for 2 men from each family.
Protesters carried pictures of the martyrs, and chanted slogans against Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whom they deemed responsible for their death, and for the execution of 3 other dissidents last January.
Mass rallies took to the streets of Karazkan, South and North Sehla, Al-Daih, Malkiya, Salmabad, A'ali, Al Hajr, Sanabis, Abu Saiba, Sitra, Karana, Al-Qidam, Bilad Al Qadeem, Juffair, Barbar, and the capital Manama. Angry protesters denounced the authorities preventing the martyrs' families from seeing their sons for the last time. Ministry of Interior forces attacked protesters in some areas with scattered bullets and tear gas canisters.
In Bani Jamra, hometown to martyr Al Ghisra, shops closed and mass protests took to the streets of the town, marching towards his house. Protesters vowed "we sacrifice our blood for you, oh martyr".
